EA SPORTS FC announces new sponsorship of UEFA’s Women in Football program.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, EA SPORTS FC today announced a new sponsorship deal with long-time partner UEFA to become title partner of the Women In Football Leadership Program (WFLP).

Now in its tenth year, the WFLP is an annual, week-long program supported by IMD Business School that aims to advance the careers of women capable of impacting the soccer industry today and in the future. The program has been running since 2014 and has supported over 240 women to date.

This year’s program, run in partnership with EA SPORTS FC, will take place in August at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, and will support more than 30 women from across the football industry, with candidates based on their future potential in the world of football can be selected.

Featuring lectures from industry leaders, a series of group training sessions and one-on-one coaching, the WFLP is designed to improve leadership skills, promote networking and boost self-confidence so participants can achieve their full potential.

Andrea Hopelain, GM & SVP of Publishing at EA SPORTS, said: “Women’s History Month is about celebrating the achievements of women and there is no better way for us to do that than by partnering with UEFA and this fantastic program to support.”

“In keeping with this year’s Women’s History Month theme of promoting inclusion, we are extremely proud to be paving the way for women within our company and across the industry to become leaders in the world of football. “

Thomas Junod, Head of UEFA Academy, added: “We are delighted to welcome EA SPORTS FC as a new presenting partner for our established UEFA Women in Football Leadership Programme. This unique initiative is committed to supporting women who want to shape the future of football and offers a dynamic platform for exchange, networking and empowerment. The inclusion of EA SPORTS participants will bring fresh, innovative ideas and perspectives to our conversations.”

This program sponsorship builds on EA SPORTS FC’s multiple commitments to advancing women in football, following the EA SPORTS Women’s Football Summit 2022, where a number of initiatives were announced, as well as this year’s inclusion of women in Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 24.
