The force was real with this musical accompaniment as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes home the Grammy.
Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab won the Grammy for Best Soundtrack in a Video Game or Other Interactive Media. The decision-makers felt they created a soundtrack for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that was worthy of the award.
By the way, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor prevailed against some pretty strong competition. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical were also nominated for a Grammy in this category.
By the way, the category itself hasn’t been around for long. It wasn’t until 2022 that the Recording Academy introduced these along with four other brand new categories. At the time, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr said:
“With these new awards and additions, we are thrilled to honor these diverse communities of music creators and continually create an environment that inspires change, progress and collaboration.”
