An internet connection will be required to install the disc version of Star Wars Outlaws.
Yesterday Ubisoft showed the brand new story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, announced the release date of August 30th and released pre-orders.
It was revealed that the physical version of the single-player title requires an internet connection to install the game from disc.
The packaging simply states: “An internet connection is required to install the game.”
A connection was required for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora back in December. It was also a single-player title.
It is not clear why an online connection is also required to install Star Wars Outlaws. As with Avatar, a day one patch could bring the game up to date.
