After more than a decade in the market and with the idea of updating and modernizing the game, those responsible for Star Wars: The Old Republic are going to make a big change to the servers that host the game, as reported by a official blog post of the game on the occasion of the eleventh anniversary of production.
The public test server was already hosted by Amazon Web Services and this will be followed by all their other servers in the fairly near future.
Star Wars: The Old Republic Goes Nube

The change will bring several benefits to players and developers. cloud technology allows those who love the game to increase performance and connectivity and maintenance by production managers becomes much simpler. In turn, the use of these servers allows the integration of more modern technologies which could eventually mean a graphical improvement that the game needed.
To facilitate the migration, Star Wars: The Old Republic will provide a server entirely in the AWS Cloud to test functionality. This will take place from April 3 to 18. Players who sign up to this temporary server (which will be called Shae Vizla) and play a PvP, Galactic Stafighter, and Flashpoint game will receive an Opal Vulptilla mount as a gift for all of their characters.
