Todd Howard has asked some questions and provided interesting answers in a new Starfield video.
In a new video for Starfield, Todd Howard speaks up and shares a lot of interesting news about the game. It was revealed that Starfield was inspired by Traveler and SunDog.
Over 252,000 lines of dialogue were written for Starfield, using the traditional dialogue system you’re familiar with from other Bethesda games. Skyrim had 60,000 and Fallout 4 around 111,000.
Running on fuel and a gravitational engine, your ship determines how far you can travel. But you will never run out of gas, otherwise the game would always be over at this point. Maybe this could change with an update and a mod, said Todd.
Todd said: “We played that and it became a big penalty for the player. If the ship ran out of fuel, it was simply game over. So recently we changed it so that the fuel in the ship and the gravitational drive limit the range, but the fuel doesn’t run out. Maybe there will be an update or a mod that will allow that, but that’s what we’re doing for now.”
If you don’t like a character, you can change the look of it at any time. But negative character traits can also be changed again through activities or quests.
Starfield will be released in 2023 exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game will appear on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
