Netflix announced the release date for the new Tomb Raider animated series.
A few months ago, Netflix announced that it was working on an animated series based on the Tomb Raider franchise. Now they’ve returned with a new video and the release date.
Accordingly, the series adaptation will be titled Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft and will be available exclusively on Netflix from October 10, 2024.
In terms of content, it follows on from Crystal Dynamics’ Survivor Trilogy. The three-part series includes the spin-offs Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In the original, Hayley Atwell will voice the young adventurer. She recently played Agent Carter in several Marvel projects.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft continues:
Following the events of the Survivor trilogy, Lara Croft has left her friends to embark on increasingly dangerous adventures. But she must return home when a thief with an eerie personal connection steals a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact from Croft Manor. Events lead her on an adventure around the world and into the depths of forgotten tombs, where she is forced to confront her true self and decide what kind of hero she wants to become.

In addition to Netflix, Amazon is currently working with developer Crystal Dynamics on a live-action series based on the popular franchise.
