When we know Undead Labs is working hard on it State of decay 3 (largely absent from the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, by the way), the Seattle-based developers haven’t forgotten the previous episode and have just offered it new content, including some features that have been eagerly awaited by the community.
This 25th update, called “Plague Territory,” reinforces the influence and meaning of the plague hearts and offers survivors new challenges. In addition to the increased impact of the Bloody Plague around the breeding grounds of infection (understand that you need to get rid of them to claim outposts nearby), the rewards given to the most determined players will be reevaluated as they level up.
Resource outposts can now be upgraded by spending Influence, and these not only give you more interest ing items, but can also allow you to develop new skills.
New unique outposts will also appear on each map that are only accessible to the more stubborn adventurer. Once conquered, you have the option of choosing between three special skills that will permanently strengthen your community.
This update also includes a brand new, highly sought-after tactical option. It is finally possible to embark and select a secondary weapon in no time during your hikes. If you ran out of ammo, you no longer have to quickly open your inventory to pick a new weapon. Note that this option does not require you to specifically select a handgun. A good old 12 caliber will do if you choose to!
Three new achievements for 50 Gscore points are also in the game and are linked to conquering or improving new outposts. If English-speaking Xbox players have the opportunity to take part in a Microsoft Rewards card of 1500 points with this update, then unfortunately you don’t have to look for it with us and that’s a shame. Note that all of this content is only accessible if you start a new game or decide to change the maps with your entire community.
This update is available on all platforms and included in Xbox Game Pass. If you would like to learn more about the improvements this patch brings, we highly recommend that you read the Site d’Undead Labs. Happy zombie hunt!
