Stay Human will not arrive with launch crossplay

arrive, crossplay, Human, launch, stay

Currently, cross-platform game support is an option that many gamers have already assumed. Although this is unfortunately not normal, it is true that each time there are more games betting on it. Microsoft is undoubtedly the current video game company that bets the most on this type of crossplay, and if you don’t believe me, here is the list of all the games with crossplay between platforms.

One would have hoped that a big budget game like Dying Light 2: Stay Humen would have been grounded in cross-play values. We’re not talking about an old project unrelated to this burgeoning fashion, so I’m very surprised that Techland decided not to bet on it.

At the moment, Crossplay is not taken into account in Dying Light 2

Of course this does not mean that it will never happen, in fact from the study they do not close the door to implement it later. Confirmation of the “non-arrival” of the launch crossplay was provided by Tymon Smektala a recent direct with MPS1st.

Smektala is currently Lead Designer at Techland, and his words to the question were something like, “No, not at the moment. It will not be available”. Also closed the door to cross-play between the same platform at launch, i.e. you won’t be able to play with Xbox One users if you’re playing on Xbox Series X or S. Fortunately, this will come later:

This will not be possible at game launch, but we are working to make it possible after launch.

We know that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will have about 5 years of support, so I wouldn’t rule anything out yet. The only thing we can wish for Techland is that its second installment is as good as the first, I can’t wait to play it.
