Today Team17 releases the long awaited Epic chef on Xbox One! The world of Epic chef is full of lively NPCs, cutthroats, robbers, pirates and friends. We happened upon a letter containing keen observations of Zest and the activities of Ambrosia, a kind of travel blog.
Ambrosia – Restaurant Haven
When you arrive in Ambrosia, you don’t notice the rats scurrying around in the harbor (which are quickly picked up by the nearest Ambrosians for a tasty snack), but the abundance of restaurants that adorn the streets; from bijou restaurants and restaurant fronts to decadent gems. One thing is clear, Ambrosia is a place where cooking is just as important as your own relatives.
And did I stumble into a treat! Two chefs fought a culinary battle right before my eyes, with a judge negotiating before the two artisans to judge their dishes for worthy or not, chopping, stirring and sautéing as if their lives depended on it. I have been informed by locals that culinary cooking battles take place regularly in Ambrosia, and the winner who beats all other chefs will be crowned the epic chef, complete with the most grandiose crowns. Exciting! I look forward to seeing more of these culinary battles during my time in Ambrosia.
Haunted house on Hill & Zest’s Farm
After stumbling around a couple of restaurants and chatting with locals again, they brought me in on a new spirited young chef named Zest who had recently arrived and moved in, and I’ll quote “The Haunted Mansion on the outskirts of town”. Apparently a pioneer by trade, he had gone on to repair and rebuild the house and even turn the nearby land into his own farm.
When I got to the farm, I couldn’t believe my own eyes, because among the numerous vegetables and well-grown products I was not only faced with a giant turtle, but also a unicorn! My admiration and adoration soon passed when the unicorn was catapulted through the air into what I could only call a modified meat grinder. Apparently such rare creatures are common livestock here in Ambrosia, and every part of them is used to reach their culinary heights … including their filth.
Nature’s premium
Far away from the port of the port city of Ambrosia, I spotted a boat full of fishermen who cast their nets and rods far to fish the most delicious fish, crustaceans and mollusks. Again, all of this was just in search of culinary heights on land as the octopus was quickly tossed into an oven and cooked into what you see below. I’ve even heard of them using freshly cut logs as a base for exotic dishes! You certainly can’t say that Ambrosian’s are not resourceful!
The Infinigon team has done everything in its pursuit of culinary mastery, and Epic Chef will offer over 100,000 combinations of dishes, including 27,000 with a unique look! Whether it’s fishing, breeding or livestock farming, almost anything can be used to create a delicacy from delicious dishes, well … depending on your taste!
