Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will tell a story that’s darker and more complex than its predecessor, revealed Cameron Monaghan.
With the initiation of Order 66, all but a few Jedi were wiped out. Cal Kestis was one of the survivors who escaped Chancellor Palpatine’s orders and went into hiding.
Players first met Cal in 2019 as a new character in the Star Wars universe in the action game Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel coming out in March. Speaking about his character, actor Cameron Monaghan told Game Informer that the sequel was talked about creating new challenges for Cal, and players can look forward to a story that is darker, deeper, and more complex than its predecessor .
“We have a really interesting story with Cal where he faces difficult challenges that don’t necessarily have right answers. That’s something I’ve always wanted to explore with the character. We chatted right after the first game about how to put this character in situations that are challenging and which situations really get him to the point where he could break. How do we get him to this point and then what do we do? Which story will be the most exciting, where we can still find adventure, but also something that is deeper and darker and more complicated and complex? So yeah, I think we have a bunch of really big questions to ask with this story.”
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on March 17, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S.
