Last night Capcom hosted a showcase dedicated to the next iteration of the license street fighter. The sixth installment in the franchise, due out on June 2nd, has therefore featured more from its world tour and most importantly, the immediate availability of a free demo.
Welcome to Nayhall
In a remote corner of Asia we discovered the nation of Nayshall. It is an area that we can explore with our avatar and discover emblematic old masters. In the same register we could also see some of the RPG elements that Capcom has implemented street fighter 6. With temporary consumables to improve your skills or weaken those of your opponents.
A big focus on accessibility
Another strength of the title lies in its accessibility efforts. Tutorials, instructions, sound design, controls: anything goes. We should be able to know better than ever where our opponent is in time and space. Enough to openly take his playing position for the largest number.
We also had confirmation of Rashid’s return in this sixth part. Appearing in the previous episode, it will also be present in this one starting this summer. After him, AVI will join the roster in the fall of 2023 and Ed in the winter of 2024. Finally, it is the legendary Akuma that will arrive in spring 2024. The four characters will be included as champions in the Mode World Tour upon their release and are also included in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of street fighter 6.
A demo is available today
The big news from the showcase is in providing a free demo. Limited to PS5 and PS4 at the moment, it will arrive on April 26th at 9 am on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The first moments of the World Tour and avatar creation will be accessible. Just like the tutorials around Luke and Ryu.
