Thanks to AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, Immortals of Aveum records a performance boost of 72 percent.
Nine months after its release, the magic shooter Immortals of Aveum was updated a week ago to become the first console game to support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3).
Digital Foundry has now taken a look at the Xbox Series X version to take a closer look at the impact of the new technology.
According to the technical experts, there is a 72 percent increase in performance in the area of frame rate. It generally feels like a game at 60fps or higher, is very responsive and visually even looks like a game at 120fps.
But there are still a few problems. For example, FSR 2 upscaling is still used in some cases, which affects the visual quality. Small visual artifacts, unsynchronized HUD elements and seconds-long pauses in cutscenes can also occur.
