According to publisher 505 Games, a sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is in development.
In June 2019, the 505 Games published the Metroidvania game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night developed by ArtPlay. The game was released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC as well as Android and iOS.
With more than one million copies sold and a turnover of over 30.2 million dollars, the game developed under the direction of Koji Igarashi sold so well that there will be a successor.
An official announcement is pending. However, a recent annual report shows that a successor is in development, as Idle Sloth discovered.
