Rocksteady Studios is the next developer to face layoffs following the disastrous performance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
As Eurogamer reports, almost half of the old staff at Rocksteady Studios have been laid off. Of the 33 employees, only 15 are currently left, with the poor sales of Suicide Squad cited as the reason for the “restructuring”.
“Rocksteady employees, who wished to remain anonymous, told Eurgamer that the loss of so many positions in the developer’s QA department, including team members with specialized skills, would burden the remaining colleagues with more work.”
“Rocksteady management has also acknowledged that product quality will suffer, employees said.”
“The employees affected by the job cuts include numerous junior employees, but also several team members who have been working at Rocksteady for more than five years.”
