The authors of The Medium were also the authors of Blair Witch or the two Layers of Fear, one of the great horror titles that took over from PT to give us an incredible and original experience. They were so successful that they even found themselves leading a big name like Silent Hill 2 Remake. But they recently made a surprise announcement of Layers of Fear Remake, which will take us through the first two adventures while everything is running on Unreal Engine 5.
The first game already looked awesome with Unreal Engine 4, so now with a tech laden title like Ray Tracing, I couldn’t do anything but ask for a good team, something that doesn’t seem to match reality , because thanks to tomorrow the 15th we will be able to play a temporary demo on Steam of the new Layers of Fear, the technical requirements have been revealed.
Unreal Engine 5 will renew the well-known layers of fear
By treating it like a remake, Bloober Team will change a lot of things in the game itself, which, as they confessed, will now have an easier to understand and clearer story. But it is striking that they did not reveal the framerate or the resolution that we will have with the minimum or recommended requirements. Maybe there are ‘Ultra’ and ‘Extreme Definitive’ requirements that we don’t know about?
Really Unreal Engine 5, as we saw in Fortnite, works great both on PC and new consoles, but we don’t have as many examples to be able to test it on PC and add it to our list of Benchmarks, as I’m sure many studies will suffice. . Tomorrow we’ll let you know what we think of this demo.
