Grimoire of Games’ roguelike, Sword of the Necromancer, expands with new content and more game modes in its free DLC.
Sword of the Necromancer, without a doubt, it has been one of the big bets of the independent Spanish scene in the video game market. After a successful campaign in Kickstarter, the people of Barcelona Grimorio from games near JanduSoft presented earlier this year a thug Visually based on the GBA classics, with a very interesting story and innovative gameplay.
Its popular release caused the game to release a physical version for Nintendo Swictch. Now Sword of the necromancer just received your First free DLC available for all consoles and PC via Steam. The new extension introduced 3 new game modes to test our skills:
- Challenge Mode– A “random” version of the main campaign. New enemies and unexpected encounters will appear as we travel through the five floors of the dungeon.
- Colosseum Mode: a kind of survival mode. We will start at level 1 and without items and we will have to face hordes of enemies to stay upright. The key will be in the combos. The better they are, the more experience we will gain and the more we will find better items to keep moving forward.
- Boss rush: a wave of five bosses in a row without stopping. If we manage to defeat them all, we’ll unlock one of the original bosses as a summon.
In addition, this free DLC includes 10 new enemies, 8 new bosses and more content like the ability to build our own dungeons, new items in the stores that will alternate their stock daily and a new epilogue in the form of a chapter for the main story. This will expand the gaming experience a bit more and can be unlocked by completing the three new game modes.
Finally, the announcement of the new DLC of Sword of the Necromancer was accompanied by one of his fantastic anime cutscenes created by Sun Animation. You can see it below.
