The award-winning System Shock remake, based on the iconic 1994 sci-fi action game, today received the highly anticipated version 1.2 content update for PC, bringing an expanded ending, a new female hacker protagonist and dozens Includes gameplay improvements.
Nightdive Studio’s faithful remake of the classic shooter was released for PC in 2023 and was well received by gamers and the press alike.
The v1.2 patch for System Shock includes a reworked ending and an optional female hacker protagonist, as well as numerous improvements, gameplay optimizations and bug fixes.
Players who return to Citadel Station to face SHODAN – the original rogue AI with evil intentions – will receive improved enemies (including new attacks and behaviors) and updated game balance.
The patch also introduces a new waypoint system for System Shock’s easy difficulty setting.
The upcoming console versions of System Shock – releasing in both physical and digital formats on May 21st – will include all content and improvements from the PC patch v1.2.
