Hinterland has released the full trailer, launch date and roadmap for the highly anticipated Survival mode expansion in The Long Dark.
Tales from the Far Territory will be available for The Long Dark on December 5, 2022 on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and in early 2023 on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
Released in multiple installments over the course of a 12-month campaign, Tales from the Far Territory expands the world of Great Bear Island and the game’s survival foundation with new regions, new gameplay, and new objective-based stories.
STORIES FROM FAR AWAY
- Three new regions connected by the long travel zones and the hub region. The first of these regions, Abandoned Aerodrome, and the Travel Zones will be introduced with the Expansion Pass.
- The other two regions will be unlocked over the course of the 12-month campaign.
- Three stories, narrative challenges that take place within the survival game, offering glimpses into the mysterious history of the Far Territory.
- New gameplay systems including: transponders, travois, safehouse customization, traders, complex cooking recipes and new item variants.
- Over 20 minutes of new survival music (over 10 minutes included in the first drop).
