Tony Hawk the video game is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and Tony Hawk is reportedly in talks with Activision.
Tony Hawk, the professional skater behind the globally successful Tony Hawk video game series, has said that he will work with Activision speak Apparently they are negotiating a new Tony Hawk game here.
Apparently, they want to announce a new game for the 25th anniversary of Tony Hawk the Video Game.
“I wish I could tell you more, but I can tell you that I’ve spoken to Activision again and we’re working on something,” Hawk said.
“It will be something that the fans will really appreciate.”
In 2022, Tony Hawk already said that a second collection of remakes was planned after Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. So Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remake. But when Vicarious Visions was merged with Activision, the plans obviously changed.
“That was the plan, even up until the release date of [1 und 2]” Hawk said. “We did 3 and 4, and then Vicarious kind of got absorbed, and then they looked for other developers, and then it was over.”
“The truth is that [Activision] tried to find someone to do 3 and 4, but they didn’t really trust anyone like they did with Vicarious.”
“So they took other suggestions from other studios, like, ‘What would you do with the THPS title?’ And they didn’t like anything they heard, and that was that.”
“Who knows? Maybe we’ll find out when the dust settles. You never know. I never thought we’d be doing 1+2 20 years later.”
In June 2022, Tony Hawk said the idea was scrapped. Earlier this year, there were already rumors that a pitch for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake was rejected.
