There are still a few weeks before we have the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection, a compilation that brings together the last three main games of the franchise fully remastered.
We now know that the main shots in this compilation could actually be quite different, thanks to information from Gamingbolt and according to statements from Fumihiko Yasudan who is the head of Team Ninja, the plan was to do full remakes instead of remasters.
There are currently no plans for a next generation edition.
For a good next-gen version, a complete remake would actually be necessary. We considered it, but we also wanted the games to be in the hands of the players as soon as possible.
Ninja Gaiden could get better treatment for the Master Collection
That was his response when asked about a native version for next gen consoles and as you can see the main reason for not continuing with the remakes is time, since Team Ninja wanted us to have the collection as soon as possible. Not only that, they are said to have actually decided to save resources and think of a new game that they haven’t confirmed elsewhere.
Also, if we had the time and resources for a remake, we thought it would be a better opportunity to make a new game, so we decided to go with this collection right now.
Obviously, we should have waited a lot longer for this collection, but of course a lot of fans wouldn’t have cared at all. We recommend that you keep an eye on Generation Xbox for more news.
