The Callisto protocol receives improvements and a new game +

The Callisto Protocol He came with a streak of future success, thanks to his massive marketing campaign. Unfortunately, the reality was different and the review was a jug of cold water. This was reflected in sales, selling half of what was expected. However, support continues and Striking Distance Studios wants to improve the game. At this time, a new update is now available to us which adds New Game Plus and various fixes.

All weapons, upgrades, and in-game credits are transferred to a new game in New Game Plus. Of course, you have to reach the first Reforge to access it. The update also introduces a general performance optimization across all platforms and fixes issues where certain camera angles and progression paths could cause Jacob to fall to the ground if we guessed the wrong path.

Also improved cabinets, lockers and shelves so they now display correctly in high contrast mode. Take a look at the full patch notes below. Although not listed, the developer confirmed on Twitter that a bug with the Maximum Security Trophy/Achievement (which apparently prevented it from unlocking) had been fixed. We’ll see if with these and other future updates we can see a game like the one we expected at launch.

NEW GAME+

• Added new game plus. Complete the game to unlock New Game Plus and progress to a new save. All of Callisto’s weapons, upgrades, and credits can be picked up during the first Reforge
• Users who have already completed the game will have access to New Game+ after the patch.

OVERALL IMPROVEMENTS:

• Fixed an issue where some users were not getting the “Protocol Is About Life” achievement correctly.
• General performance optimizations on all platforms
• Players no longer take damage when jumping over obstacles.
• Fixed various issues where certain camera angles or progression paths could cause environments to blur and allow Jacob to fall through the ground.
• Increased consistency across cabinets, lockers, and shelves so they display correctly in high contrast mode.
• Voice leveling and subtitle offset adjustments in localized languages
