Windows Central reported that the development of Avowed moved to Unreal Engine 5.3 with help from The Coalition and the Xbox technology team.
Windows Central’s Jez Corden posted on Twitter that Avowed has migrated its engine to version 5.3, the most recent Unreal Engine. They did this with the help of Xbox’s internal tech department and fellow studio The Coalition.
Avowed has been in the news lately, especially when it comes to insider trading. Tom Warren said the game should be released in November. Tom Henderson stated that Avowed will go behind the scenes at Summer Games Fest and previews will be released on June 10.
Avowed is a first-person role-playing game from the team at Obsidian. It takes place in the same universe as the Pillars of Eternity titles. If The Outer Worlds felt like a smaller Fallout-style game, Avowed is something similar to The Elder Scrolls.
Recently, Unreal Engine 5 was the powerhouse for the incredible Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. Xbox is one of Unreal Engine’s biggest customers and several studios, including Ninja Theory, The Coalition, Obsidian and Undead Labs.they use the engine for their titles.
