Will this be a sign for the remastering we’ve been talking about for months? The truth is, it’s good news that key elements of both games have been revived.
What a surprise we had this weekend. Although they haven’t made any official announcements, we do know that the servers for Gears of War 3 and Gears of War Judgment got an update and which once again offer benefits that were disconnected. It’s funny because the official Gears site hasn’t offered any updates for 9 months, and the official account of the franchise and the studio are half abandoned.
But what matters is that both games have been revitalized, and we can play them through the magic of backwards compatibility since both are backward compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series, of course also natively with Xbox 360, but you will play under better circumstances on the Series models thanks to FPS Boost.
It seems that at Microsoft they want to rekindle interest with the franchise again, will that mean anything?
This “resurrection” is curious, given that we considered all servers to be almost extinct. Maybe The Coalition wants to test and get new user data based on previous games. Or maybe it’s a good excuse to open your mouth for that rumored remaster of the second installment by Splahs Damage.
