The masters of the Unreal Engine from The Coalition are back in a new Cinematic Tech demo.
The Coalition’s latest Unreal Engine 5 demo, The Cavern, shows how film-quality assets – with tens of millions of polygons – can be rendered in real-time, a whopping 100x leap in graphical detail.
The Coalition announces, “Having unveiled one of the first examples of a next-gen experience for Xbox Series X|S with The Matrix Awakens An Unreal Engine 5 Experience, we’re excited to present at today’s State of Unreal Events to provide a deeper insight into our technical partnership with Epic Games.”

Kate Rayner, CTO at The Coalition studio, talks about her team’s collaboration with Epic Games, developing with Unreal Engine 5, and what players can expect from next-gen games on Xbox Series X|S:
The Coalition states: “The coolest thing about it is that we’re running all these great graphics and animations on an Xbox Series X. This gives you an idea of the visual fidelity and quality we will be able to produce. Demos like this allow us to learn a lot about the power of UE5 and I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be able to create some pretty incredible things with this new technology.”
