The upcoming RPG shooter STALKER 2 from GSC Game World promises a huge open world and should offer several hundred hours of content.
STALKER 2, the successor to STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, will offer you a huge open world and many game-influencing decisions. Because of this one could guess that you should plan a few more hours.
In a recent interview with GSC Game World’s PR manager Zakhar Bocharov Gaming bolt asked how long STALKER 2 will captivate players. Bocharov didn’t give an exact answer, but you can still get an approximate picture of the game size.
“It’s a very long game, even if you decide to only follow the main quest,” says Bacharov. “Hundreds of hours can be spent doing more exploration and side quests.”
So, even if you find the main quest to be the most interesting, you’ll need to prepare for long evenings in front of the console – before spending more hours exploring.
STALKER 2 is in development for Xbox Series X | S and PC, a last-gen version should unfortunately not be feasible. According to rumors, the Xbox exclusivity will only last three months.
