This week has been one of the most anticipated announcements, which is none other than the return of one of the best sagas in survival horror. EA showed us (briefly and as a teaser) that they are working on a “new” Dead Space, since it is a remake of the original episode.
The original titles were developed by Visceral Games, a studio that no longer exists today. The new remake is in the hands of EA Motive, but there were doubts about how many developers are actually working on it. Thanks to VGC We already know who is involved in the development of Dead Space, and don’t worry, what talent and experience you have to spare.
Ex Ubisoft and Bioware are working on Dead Space Remake
The EA Motive studio was responsible for Star Wars: Squadrons, and according to VGC there will be in the development team at least one person who has already worked on the Dead Space saga. We are talking about artistic director Mike Yazijian, who in addition to working on the second installment of the saga also did so with Batman: Arkham Origins.
In addition, Former Ubisosft employees will be on the team such as Roman Campos-Oriola (For Honor, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier), Philippe Ducharme (Assissin’s Creed 3, Far Cry 5, Watch Dogs: Legion), Jessica Maher, Daphney Alarie and Shadi Mallak (Assassin’s Creed). Beside these there will also be a strong ex-Bioware presence like level designer Gary Stewart, environmental artist Alexis Dumas and Pierre-Vincent Bélisle, all more or less involved in the Mass Effect saga.
Finally, let’s not forget animation expert Stephen Yu (Arkham Knight and Sleeping Dogs), Robin Bonhoure (at Ubisoft until last year) and Maximilien Faubert (from Eidos Montreal). Looking at the backgrounds of all of these developers, it’s hard for the Dead Space remake to go wrong, although unfortunately we’ll have to wait a bit to see the end result.
