Just a few hours ago, my colleague Gabriel spoke to you about the 30th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls franchise, an important milestone for Bethesda that deserves to be celebrated. And this franchise was a turning point in video games, it is one of those games that made history and brought something different to the sector, Skyrim being the most popular and best-selling of all the titles in the saga.
So it’s no surprise that fans are nervous. Yes, it’s true that we had Starfield and I really liked it, but I admit that The Elder Scrolls has another point that I like morethis fantasy and the setting are a huge plus, getting lost with your horse in the moors… like me, the most unconditional fans of the franchise are impatient to have news.
The new The Elder Scrolls VI is progressing at a good pace
Unfortunately, it looks like this news will take a while to arrive, at least news that gives us an idea of what the Bethesda team is focused on. When we heard about it again in June of last year, we knew that the development phases it was in told us we would have to wait at least 5 years.
But today it seems that this deadline is shortened, nothing is confirmed, but of course the nod from the folks at Bethesda suggests the game is moving faster than expected. Of course, they didn’t give dates. We only know that they are already testing the first builds of the game.
Yes, we are developing the next chapter: The Elder Scrolls VI. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing the first sets fills us with the same joy, excitement, and promise of adventure.
Thank you again for supporting us over all these decades and for everything you have brought to games, making them your own. We couldn’t be more excited to continue and celebrate the next 30 years.
