Amazon Studios, Kilter Films, and Bethesda had confirmed the existence of the Fallout TV series in 2020, but only now has it been confirmed that in 2022 the tape will begin production.
According to the deadline site, Kilter Films and Jonathan Nolan (co-creator of Westworld) will direct the first episode. Among the official transcendants, we also know that Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) will be producing the series. For Kilter Films, the producers will be Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham while Todd Howard himself and James Altman will be responsible for the Bethesda side.

Bethesda had referred as follows to the project in 2020:
“The magic of the world of Fallout lies in the rawness of its terrain as opposed to the previous generation’s utopian idea that nuclear power could make a better world. It’s serious and harsh in its tone, but it’s spiced with moments of wry humor and fantasies typical of a Class B movie based on the nuclear age. “
Todd Howard, in 2021, confessed that Bethesda had wanted to bring the series to the small screen for decades and that he believed the creators of Person of Interest and Westworld were the ones to “get it right.” Kilter Films was also excited to work with Todd Howard and the rest of the Bethesda team.
