Welcome to our final Sniper Elite 5 information delivery. Today is Kraken Awakes, the final content pack for Season Pass 2 (more on that later), and we hope you enjoyed making mincemeat of the Nazis as much as we did game made.
It’s been a little over 13 months since the game’s original release, and during that time you, Soldiers, have been busy. They’ve obliterated nearly 6 million testicles, perfected over 250 million headshots, and invaded each other’s game more than 5 million times and counting.
Everyone at Rebellion was delighted with the response the game received when it released last May, and we’ve been hard at work reading and listening to your feedback ever since. The input from our community is truly invaluable and allows us to improve the game with every step.
The level of knowledge and expertise within our community, particularly in terms of authentically recreating our WWII location, weapons, military clothing and vehicles, is always a great source of pride and information for the studio.
It’s important to learn from every game you release, and a focus for us is accessibility. We have introduced several new features such as B. Depth field sliders, which will be a regular feature in our games in the future. We know we still have a long way to go, but we are on the right track.
We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to play Sniper Elite 5, whether you’re a seasoned veteran of the series or looking down Karl’s virtual scope for the first time. If you haven’t tried the game yet, it’s still available in Game Pass now. So be sure to try it out and let us know what you think. Speaking of Season Pass Two, the final content drop, Kraken Awakes, is available in the store right now.
The pack includes a brand new mission where our hero Karl Fairburne is sent to a military dock where there is an aircraft carrier under construction – the new home of Operation Kraken.
At night, you must use the darkness and shadows to your advantage to infiltrate and sabotage the carrier so that it can never be launched. They must also put an end to the plan’s new leader, Friedrich Vogel, Abelard Möller’s former deputy.
The pack also includes a new Mod.712 pistol and the Patriot weapon skin as well as the American Airborne character skin to complete an all-American look for Karl!
In addition to the Kraken Awakes pack, we are also releasing a new multiplayer map that is currently FREE for all players. The Abandoned Quarry offers a variety of opportunities for both stealth and all action playstyles.
Exploring the old mine involves large-scale melee firefights, while the nearby coal processing center offers numerous vantage points and hiding places that provide ideal sniper sight lines around the map. Be sure to head over to the multiplayer mode and try it out in both solo and team play.
