Spellbreak Chapter 2: The Fracture introduces Dominion game mode, new quest-based story content, and more.
The developer studio Proletariat has published Chapter 2: The Fracture in the form of a new update for the multiplayer action-magic game Spellbreak on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
For the developer, it is the most significant update to date as it introduces competitive leagues, the Dominion goal-based game mode, new quest-based story content, improved matchmaking, map updates, new talents, cosmetic items, and more.
Seth Sivak, CEO of Proletariat, said: “With the introduction of Leagues as part of the new Dominion game mode, competition in Spellbreak has never been so fierce. Chapter 2: The Fracture continues our unique blend of storytelling and gameplay, expanding the world of Spellbreak and opening up new ways for players to connect. “
The new Dominion mode will turn the spellbreak battle on its head, with intense 5v5 matches in which players vie for control of three strategic points on the game map while banishing as many opponents as possible. Competitive players can also prove themselves in Ranked Leagues as they play Dominion, advance to Legend status, and collect exclusive badges and other cosmetic rewards.
Spellbreak Chapter 2: The Fracture also continues the story started in Chapter 1: The Spellstorm and calls on players to actively participate in the never-ending battle between the Vowbreakers and Vowkeepers by completing free story-driven quests for 12 weeks that weave into the core gameplay of Spellbreak, creating a truly unique, action- and narrative-driven experience.
