The Game Awards 2024: Celebrating a year of gaming excellence and its exciting future

This year has been phenomenal for Xbox gamers. We have witnessed the launch of exciting new games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, And Metaphor: ReFantasiaalong with notable innovations like Xbox Cloud Gaming that will shape its future. We are very pleased about that Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 won for best performance (Melina Juergens) and best audio design, and “Fallout” won best adaptation.

The Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley, capped off the year with a dazzling celebration of awards, reveals and special guests including Harrison Ford, Snoop Dogg and Ella Purnell, celebrating gaming's recent successes and highlighting the exciting prospects for the future — We have also gave a first insight into the show.

Obsidian Entertainment has released the first gameplay trailer for The Outer Worlds 2and promises a new adventure in a brand new colony. Join new factions, completely crush them under your stylish boots, or completely ignore them because you got lost in side quests. The design of this story is up to you, from creating a truly individual main character (taking into account not only their strengths but also their weaknesses) to how you approach the game's many quests and factions. As always, they are your worlds, your path.

The Outer Worlds 2 will be released in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on Windows PC, Steam and PlayStation 5. It will also be available with Game Pass on day one.
