The Guardian Games return in Destiny 2

Guardians are born for challenges. Whether you are learning to master the dark force of stasis or staring at the enemies of humanity, Guardians keep rising for the occasion. From today until May 9th Fate 2 Players will face a different type of test: maintaining the reputation of their favorite class of Guardians. The Guardian Games have returned for 2021 and Titans, Warlocks and Hunters will answer the call in this free event open to all Fate 2 Player on Xbox.

The focus of the Guardian Games is on celebrating the spirit of Guardians everywhere. in the Fate 2The time has come for such a celebration. The avant-garde has reached a truce with the Cabal and their Empress Caiatl. The citizens of the last town are desperate for a ray of light amid the recent darkness, and Commander Zavala, determined to make the most of this moment of rest, demands that the flags be hoisted and the games begin.

For the next three weeks, the three Guardian classes will take part in challenges across the Solar System with the goal of getting their class to the top step of the podium each week. Along the way, Fate 2 Players will receive great rewards including exotic and legendary weapons and equipment and more.

Medal count

Participation in the Guardian Games begins with a visit from a trusted friend. Eva Levante has returned to the tower to look after the players during the competition festivals. Players will be able to bring their class-specific item required to participate, as well as a medal box containing the medals and laurels they have collected from their adventures across the solar system.

Players earn medals by completing activities – basic activities reward players with bronze medals, while more challenging activities like Nightfalls award silver medals. Gold and platinum medals come from a new source Eva has this year: Contender Cards. These cards can be purchased from Eva for laurels and will prompt the Guardians to complete additional high-level objectives (such as getting a certain number of melee or primary kills) while completing activities.

Turn in bronze, silver, gold, and platinum medals to collect rewards like the Exotic Machine Gun Heir Apparent and its new catalyst, an Exotic Sparrow, legendary weapons, and shaders and emblems. All medals given also count towards the overall ranking of each class at the Guardian Games. The more valuable the medal, the more progress the players can make for their class.

Graduation ceremony

Each week ends with a winning class based on their performance during the week. Members of this class will receive an aura that they can equip until the following week is reset. On the weekend of May 7th, players will be invited to the Guardian Games 2021 Closing Ceremonies, where the final podiums will be announced. These include fireworks in the tower and a trophy to commemorate the top quality of the games for the rest of the year.

The flags are hoisted and the decorations are hung all over the tower. The citizens of the last city expect the Guardians to rise to the challenge again and fight for the glory of their class. Let’s give them a good show!
