Unveiled in May 2019, Italian developer Naps team announced that Baldo: The Guardian Owls will arrive on Xbox One on August 27th. This adventure game inspired by Zeldais what we call a passion project. After falling in love with the studio films Ghibli, the founders of Nap’s team have decided to pay tribute to him. It took fifteen years to achieve the result seen in the trailer below.
The story centers on Baldo, a young man who embarks on an adventure initiated by prophecy. This game takes place in an open world full of battles, dungeons and puzzles. The gameplay seems complete, but mostly at the graphics level, it is Baldo: The Guardian Owls stands. The iconic Japanese studio’s style is evident, the colors vibrant, and the cute character design consistent. And a nugget on the way, one!
