Destroy your opponents with “Advanced Strike», the new offensive mechanic of The King of Figters XV, available in its next update.
SNK announced that The King of Fighters XVthe latest installment of this legendary combat saga, will receive a new free update later this month. Two years have passed since its official launch and the Japanese company wants its game to live up to current heavyweights like Street Fighter 6 or the recent Tekken 8. Therefore, in the new patch, a new mechanics,Advanced Strike»which will add even more adrenaline to the fights.

This offensive movement will allow us counter throws and physical attacksopening the possibility of playing in a more aggressive way, going beyond the possibilities offered by the “Broken Strikes“. Perform this new skill will involve spending half a bar of power (Power gauge), so we will have to use it wisely. However, we can recharge it by performing normal attacks or blocking.
Upon impact, Advanced Strike causes a violent fall and allows us to position ourselves strategically to continue attacks. Contrary to Broken Strikesthis movement takes a hitbox effective counterattack specific to mid-execution throws. In other words, it can be used to absorb incoming attacks and throws, negating damage and creating the possibility of a counterattack. If it is a counterattack (the counter), the adversary remains vulnerable to additional attacks. If he doesn’t strike in counterattack, he will knock down the opponent. This is a mechanic designed for players seeking a competitive advantage over their opponents, as its versatility opens up many strategic possibilities. We are sure that competitive veterans will get a lot out of it.
