Yesterday’s Paradox Showcase featured several titles coming to Xbox, including The League of Lamplighters. With this game we will dive into an alternate reality of the 1930s, where a tyrannical cult, the Court of Banished, will rule the world. The only ones who can oppose her are known as the League of Lanternlighters.
Unfortunately, the best have perished and only the less bad have stayed. It is this band of colorful characters that we will embody. The game takes the form of a turn-based tactical RPG adventure with a stealth twist. Christopher Roger, Game Director at Harebrained Schemes, provided additional insight:
For years we’ve had the privilege of telling stories in beloved universes like Shadowrun and BATTLETECH. Because The League of Lamplighters is set in a new world, it gives us the creative freedom to simultaneously create storytelling that supports gameplay and gameplay that supports storytelling. We love these characters and hope players and fans will enjoy getting to know them while exploring each one’s unique abilities, just like we did. I can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on.
The Lamplighters League will be released on PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles in 2023.
