Well yes, Redfall is alive and well, Arkane Austin’s game for Xbox and PC has just received a new update which leaves the game in remarkable condition. After the announcement of the studio’s closure, we remained to know what the short-term future of Redfall would be and the truth is that the news is positive, everything that was announced before the fateful event was finally added with a new update.
Among the most interesting changes there is one that you will like a lot: now Redfall can be played offline and we can also pause the game. These are just some of the changes coming to the game with the latest update, although there are still more to come which we list below.
Redfall is updated with many new features
- With the release of AJ4, you will have the ability to play Redfall without an internet connection. You can also continue playing if you lose your Internet connection in the middle of a single-player session. When playing in cooperative mode, the host will switch to an offline solo session.
- Another new feature we’re excited to add is single-player pause. Now, if you need to calmly adjust your kit or simply stop for a minute, the world of Redfall will be waiting for you.
- There is another important change that will affect all nests with this update: if you do not escape from a nest during the destabilization phase, you will not get the main remnant. You’ll keep any loot you take, but you’ll only get the main remnant if you leave the nest before it completely collapses.
- All upgrades in the Community Status skill tree are designed to give you a mix of practical upgrades and gameplay benefits. Certain rewards will also help collectors complete their quest for Grace’s hair and cosmetic items.
These would be the main improvements of the new patch, it must be said that this will be the last update and that after the closure of this part of Arkane, the game will no longer receive new content in the future.
