It’s the gloomy darkness of the distant future. Life is hard. We could all use some advice to help us get through the day. We are here to help. Necromunda: Rented weapon – available now for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S – is a fast-paced, action-packed FPS developed by our passionate small team at Streum On Studio that immerses you in the distant future of the 41st millennium and legendary Warhammer 40,000 -Universe of Games Workshop.
In the Wasteland of Necromunda, inside the great Swarm Primus, packed with a billion souls struggling to support the myriad worlds of the Human Empire, dirty work sometimes has to be done – for the right price. An endless, cyclical gang war between the wealthy and influential big houses needs someone to clean up their mess, and that’s you – a hired gun, a bounty hunter embroiled in a bigger mess than you would like.
Tip 1: get a dog
Dogs are friends. Protective, loyal, wild. In real life, they guard your door, greet you in the morning with a drooling kiss, and bark at potential attackers – like cats. in the Rented gun, Your constant companion, the cyber mastiff, is similar. He will tear the throat out of anyone you point, bring you his limbs, and hold your back by tracking down enemies hiding in the dark.
It’s also available for pets and emotional support (emotional support can bite).
Tip 2: move
Exercise is important to a healthy body and mind. Instead of a special bike or a particularly sophisticated augmented reality game, Rented gun
Tip 3: get angry
The world – it is cruel. The world of Necromunda, a few tens of thousands of years later, is a little more cruel. The fights are fast paced, the fights are fierce, and as a markings bounty hunter you have to be as mean as you can imagine. Far from being a last-ditch attempt to get someone out of their face, melee attacks prove to be useful and brutal in close-quarters combat in a hive city.
Tip 4: get your goals
Set goals for yourself. You’re a bounty hunter so your goals are pretty literally Aims. While Rented gun is not a game of stealth or deception, how you go about it – which route you take through non-linear battle arenas and to multiple targets, what weapons you use, what targets you pursue – is entirely up to you.
Tip 5: get paid
Money rules the world, no matter what world it is. Make sure you always get what you’re worth because the Underhive runs on cash (in-game of course – no microtransactions here). Secondary missions and hidden caches kept in the dark corners of the levels and in remote locations give you a fat pocket to spend on improved augmentations, new weapons and customization options, and much more. Even your dog can benefit from a number of new upgrades.
Tip 6: go ahead and shoot
Have your weapons. Got your mastiff. Got your mission. Shoot your shot – literally at Necromunda. With access to a huge variety of weapons and upgrades right from the start, what you spend on is more important than how far in the game you get. Find the combination of weapons and expansions that best suits your play style and mission. Use a range of weapon customization options to make your weapon unique and fight your targets in style.
Tip 7: get an upgrade
Life is about growth. With a few missions under your belt, you’ll want to be on your way … your armory is huge, every part of your body, every element of your weapon can be improved. Jump higher, run faster, better sight, stronger arms – the huge list of ways in which your cybernetic body and organs can be improved makes every path through the game unique. Your grappling hook will help you pull yourself towards walls, ledges and enemies, use it to your advantage.
Tip 8: take revenge
What is it all for? Revenge (and maybe money, as mentioned earlier). There’s a reason you’re packed with more enhancements and cybernetics than the average hired gun. Betrayal and the wrong goals get you in a bunch of trouble in the underhive, and you’re only here by the grace of the kind of people you really don’t want to owe your life to. When the hunter becomes the hunted, life gets interesting – let’s see how you survive.
Necromunda: Rented weapon is available now for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X | S and supports Smart Delivery so you only need to purchase the game once to play the best version available for the Xbox console you want to play on.
