We’ve been pushing for improvements to Achievements on Xbox One for years and now on Xbox Series. From Team Xbox they told us that they are working on improvements to make them better, but it has already rained enough. Achievement hunters are on the decline and something needs to be done to keep this part of the community that has brought the Xbox ecosystem to life so much.
Today we can learn about a new improvement that will soon reach all users, or so I hope. This is a feature that was also requested by the community in the company’s feedback forums, and is currently in the testing phase.
New features for Secret Achievements
Just yesterday, Brad Rossetti from the Xbox dev team announced on Twitter the arrival of the option to see part of the secret achievements. It’s a useful feature that reveals clues about what needs to be done to unlock one of these achievements. Although it does not reveal instructions for obtaining the achievement in question, it does show the image of the achievement and part of its title.
Now in secret achievements there will be an option that says something like “Show details” and “Hide details”. All you have to do is access the guide, stand on your desired achievement, and watch it. Please note that the rollout is coming to Xbox Insiders first, not yet available to everyone.

Many users told Brad that this improvement was good, but not enough. They want an incentive to complete all of a game’s achievements, something like the Platinum Trophy on PlayStation but Xbox-style. And the truth is that at least I insist again, the achievements need a facelift.
