Asobo Studios shared all the changes from Microsoft Flight Simulator Update VII, in addition to their new roadmap
Microsoft Flight Simulator This new year also started with news. PC users and Xbox consoles already have the update VII, also known as version 1.21.18.0. In addition, a new roadmap with future updates that we will receive throughout the first quarter 2022.

- Fixed several bugs in the title.
Weather
- Improved management of high proximity METARs to avoid adverse weather transitions.
- Fixed abnormal temperatures above FL450.
- Fixed saving data for custom weather presets.
- Live weather clouds on the ground should now display as fog.
- Rain and Fog now correctly receive shadows from clouds above.
- Fixed the visibility of the “10SM” target.
- Fixed live weather referring to AMSL instead of AGL.
RV
- Fixed an issue that prevented toolbar interactions in VR.
- VR controllers now work when using the old cockpit interaction system.
- Added some VR controller specific commands (e.g. toggle between proxi and raycast modes) that were not available in the links menu.
- Fixed rotate and slide buttons not responding well with WMR VR controllers.
peripheral devices
- TrackIR compatibility has been fixed.
- Fixed inability to scroll / drag WorldMap using a custom mouse profile. Add a location in the control menu.
Airplanes
- Fixed support for HUD shaders for third-party aircraft.
- Fixed reverse throttle.
- Fixed livery replacement mechanism for WASM modules.
- The fixed glass cockpit remains off during cold start and dark for the Volocity.
- Fixed the blank rendering of the Copilot HUD on the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.
World
- Fixed an issue where roads could flicker.
- Fixed color bands introduced in the Sim 5 update.
Reno
- Performance optimization for Reno multiplayer races.
- Reno cabins are no longer lost during PSTN.
- Fixed “too high” notification when starting a time trial.
User interface
- Support preferences no longer need to be set to Easy without user intervention.
- Updated localization in all supported languages.
SDK
- Fixed a crash when loading a project.
- Modification of “Parking not linked to the main graphic” as a warning.
- Fixed planes were no longer compiled due to glTF errors.
- Fixed a game crash when attempting to add a “PaintedHatchedArea” in the landscape editor.
- Fixed disabled interactions with the simulator when Aircraft Editor is open.
- Ignore the zero size flag file (avoid invalid materials).
- Fixed the path of the XML file of the newly created project in PackageBuilder.
Navigation
- The new AIRAC 2113 cycle is now available.
