The open beta for Final Fantasy XIV starts on Xbox Series X|S at this time in February.
It was recently announced that an open beta for Final Fantasy XIV would be held in February. Now there are more details about the role-playing game on the Xbox.
Square Enix officially announced that the open beta on Xbox will start on February 21st at 9:00 a.m. German time.
Because the beta is aimed at new players, those who already have a license of Final Fantasy XIV on file with their Square Enix account will not be able to participate.
Square Enix said: “The open beta test is only available to new players who will be playing Final Fantasy 14 for the first time. Take this opportunity to invite your Xbox friends who have never experienced the ever-expanding world of Final Fantasy 14 and experience an adventure together.”
“We ask all players who want to play Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox with an existing Square Enix account and associated characters to wait until the full Xbox launch, after the open beta test has concluded.”
To play Final Fantasy XIV online, needed your Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate. This means that the requirements differ from the PlayStation 4|5, where PlayStation Plus is not required.
Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled to be released on Xbox immediately after the beta. When that will happen “will be determined after thorough reviews,” as it is also said.
Beta players will be able to transfer their data to the full version.
