Microsoft continues to improve the Xbox Series ecosystem. We recently saw updates to the dashboard, improvements to chat audio or the game library. All for the sole purpose of improving the Xbox user experience. One of the next-gen points that has stood out among users is the excellent quick resume. Although not a “life-saving” option, it was a quick way to get back into the game, to the point that many couldn’t live without it.
One specific feature that Microsoft may end up adding is allowing players to disable Quick Resume entirely, if they choose. A Twitter user recently pointed out that Quick Resume doesn’t work as well as it should with online-only games. This is somewhat true, and the only negative, since the last point of an online game cannot be restored by having to reconnect to the game’s servers. This often requires manually quitting and restarting the game.
A user pointed this out on Twitter and the same Phil Spencerhead of Xbox, praised the possibility and promised to put it on the “list of things to watch”
For users who only play online games or use the online functions of other titles, this would certainly be a more than useful option. Sure, it is not a confirmation that the feature will be implemented. But it’s a good example of how Microsoft listens to the user and takes their opinions and suggestions into account.
