Fallout creator Tim Cain is assisting in the development of The Outer Worlds 2 in an advisory capacity.
When developing The Outer Worlds 2, Obsidian Entertainment has probably the best support it can get: Fallout creator Tim Cain.
As Cain revealed in an interview, he is involved in the sequel to the role-playing game in an advisory capacity.
Cain said: “There are things they want to do in the sequel that I obviously can’t talk about, but I’m drawn into it because they’re similar to things I’ve done in the past.”
“Sometimes I just say, ‘I’m not going to tell you what to do, but here are the pitfalls. Here are some of the huge, huge chasms that are in your way and that you have to navigate around.’”
In the interview, he also praised one of the developers at Obsidian, who managed to solve an old problem from the Fallout era.
Cain said: “Not only did I tell him how impressed I was, I also found my notes from 28 years ago. I said, ‘Let me read you a few lines from a production meeting in July ’95…'”
Cain already worked as co-director of the first The Outer Worlds together with Fallout co-creator Leonard Boyarsky.
