Capcom has achieved record results for the seventh time in a row.
Capcom has announced the financial figures for the last financial year, which ended on March 31st. As the company had forecast at the end of April, it once again achieved record numbers.
According to this, the company generated net sales of 152,410 million yen (+21%) and achieved an operating result of 57,081 million yen (+12.3%) in the last financial year.
This means an increase in operating profit of 15.7% or 59,422 million yen compared to the previous year and a net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company of 43,374 million yen (+18.1%).
This means that Capcom can look forward to record results for the seventh year in a row.
Resident Evil 4 Remake led the list of sales figures, closely followed by Street Fighter 6. 3.3 million units were sold in the fiscal year, with Resident Evil 4 Remake exceeding the total sales figure of more than seven million units.
The celebrated role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma 2 has already sold 2.6 million units just a few weeks after its release. There was a sales boost for the predecessor Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the Dragon’s Dogma series, has sold a total of more than 11 million units.
This marked a special milestone Monster hunter Franchise exceeding the 100 million mark. Capcom emphasized that 15 titles have exceeded the one million unit sales mark. In the same period last year, “only” nine titles achieved this.
