EA has several projects in the shaker, but it seems that one of them, at least for now, will not be The Sims 5. More than a decade with its latest delivery (The Sims 4), led the public to wonder if it was time for the arrival of a new title in the saga. But It looks like we won’t be getting a new video game anytime soon. but this latter title will continue to be supported.
The development studio itself confirms that for the time being, support will continue for The Sims 4
The company through its Web page posted this: “When we talk about The Sims As an entertainment platform powered by our community, it’s because we see the future of The Sims as more than a title“. Furthermore, they go on to say: “We are expand the franchise to better meet the diverse needs of the growing number of Simmers worldwide. The Sims will go beyond linear and sequential versions of The Sims and will offer more options than ever for players. We are focused on creating a variety of games and experiences that will touch different categories across the simulated life genre, including comfortable gaming, social and collaborative gaming, mobile narrative games and depth, enhancements and continuous modernization of The Sims 4 which will continue to be an experience Sims fundamental”.
There was also speculation The Sims 5 because of what is called Rene Project. The studio specifies on this subject: “We create new and innovative experiences that connect with players on their own terms, wherever they are and however they choose to play. These analyses are tested via The Sims Labsincluding individual functions of Rene Project , a story-based mobile testimprovements to The Sims 4 with discovery and search tools, creation tools and more.
