Geoff Keighley had announced that the Summer Game Fest would celebrate a comeback again this year. It’s now official with a tweet posted from the event account today. The appointment is agreed for the month of June!
The Summer Game Fest was Geoff Keighley’s answer to his departure from E3 animation last year. He no longer recognized himself in the format offered by the largest video game show in the world and decided to start his own event. If we stick to the numbers, the Canadian presenter and journalist made the right choice. We hope the formula didn’t learn from its mistakes on the first try. If the announcements hadn’t failed, we might be sorry that it spanned the whole summer. The effect provided was completely insufficient to replace the energy of the physical event. Keighley calmed down, however, by assuring that the duration would be cut significantly.
.@SummerGameFest returns this June!
A spectacular, focused global showcase of the future of video games – where everyone comes to play.

With an E3 being held remotely this year, it will be interesting to see which event is supported by developers and publishers. At this time, Microsoft has not announced whether it will be attending the event from 2020. If you would like to reserve your place for the event, you can do so directly on the available website.
