MachineGames is one of Bethesda’s top rated studios. Unsurprisingly, they’re in charge of the successful new Wolfenstein scene, which has left us with four games that everyone enjoys. In addition, they are now immersed in the development of the new Indiana Jones, a project which is still in its early stages of development. This fact sparked rumors about whether the studio would be working on another side project, as since Youngblood launched in 2019, we haven’t heard from the developer.
Rumors that seem more accurate every day, since we have new indications on what they are preparing in the study.
Could Wolfenstein 3 be any closer than you think?
We have the latest clue of LindedINn profile from one of the developers of MachineGames, who in his resume indicates that he has worked as the lead designer of an unannounced game for over three years. With the unannounced term Indiana Jones, which is already widely known and which, more than once, Bethesda has claimed more than once to be at a very early stage, is automatically dismissed.
With all this in hand, this project should arrive sooner, perhaps in 2022-2023, but of which we have no more clues. We don’t know if this is a new IP or the expected Wolfenstein sequel, something much more logical and expected. Unsurprisingly, Blazkowicz still has a lot of war to fight and we know that a third installment will take place sooner or later. What is clear, and more and more every day, is that at MachineGames they are with two projects at the same time.
Remember that the entire Wolfenstein saga developed by MachineGames is available on Xbox Game Pass.
