The asymmetrical multiplayer horror title based on the mythic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre of Tobe Hooper, will be released on August 18 on Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also be available on Game Pass for consoles and PC. A tech test is scheduled for May 25 and taking advantage of the occasion, a bloody new trailer for the game has been released. It shows several bloody murders and the mythical photo of this very particular family appears.
In the game we will either become a member of the Slaughter family, like the iconic Leatherface with his chainsaw, or we will be one of those poor wretches looking to survive. As Friday the 13th: the game from Gun Interactive, survivors must use stealth and gather tools to escape their killer. On the other hand, the Slaughter family has to stop them, and they won’t be particularly nice or tricky as seen in the trailer.
There are several different locations to play as the developer seems to have worked to capture the authenticity and essence of the films as well as the historical period. It is likely that we will see the house, the mine in the second part or the forest in other sequels. Stay tuned to Area Xbox for more tech test details in the coming weeks.
