Wall Street Journal said that this year’s Call of Duty game (Gulf War) will be available via Game Pass upon release. According to the report, while the company of course expects an impact on the title’s sales, it also expects an exponential increase in the number of subscribers to the service.

The report goes on to claim that Microsoft will officially confirm the Game Pass launch during the Xbox Games Showcase in June. .

Earlier this month, Xbox President Sarah Bond reiterated that all of Microsoft’s first-party games would launch on the first day of Game Pass, including Activision titles., although he didn’t explicitly mention Call of Duty. Interestingly, recent leaks also claim that Microsoft is planning to introduce a new subscription tier and price increase for Game Pass.

According to previous leaks, this year’s Call of Duty title will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War. Its single-player campaign, developed by Raven Software, will be a completely open world.
