Recently, we were telling you about the possibilities of using Project xCloud on your mobile devices or tablets outside of the United Kingdom. Later, Microsoft announced that the service would move to other regions of Europe, including Spain among those chosen as it could not be otherwise.
The app looks like it's starting its own deployment phase as from today we can use the Xbox Console Stream without a regional limit. That's just what you read You can now use the service in your home without using a VPN. It should be clear that the available version is not a Project xCloud version, but a Console streaming version.
What is an Xbox Console broadcast?
If you understand the concept of game streaming, it will be easier for you to understand what this is. While we have Project xCloud we can play our game library from Microsoft servers, with the Xbox Console streaming we are using to use our console as a server.
That is, your Xbox One at home becomes a streaming device anywhere.
Xbox Console Streaming Tutorial
However, even though the region is no longer restricted by the Xbox Console streaming, it is true that you will need to fulfill two requirements, by the accredited Insider and that your request is made with data from the United Kingdom. Want to know how to try? This is what you should do.
- Request access to Project xCloud by using a application form. If we do not live in one of the respective districts, we will have to set a district and a zip code for a particular city, for example Bristol. Do not be afraid that this is illegal or you are in danger of preventing it.
- When Microsoft confirms that they have received the email, you must download the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) program. If it is not available with The toy store, we can download it here.
- Once the app has been downloaded, we will have to sign in with the account they gave us access to.
- When you open the app, you'll be shown a welcome screen in the Xbox Game Stream (Preview) on its Project xCloud slope.
- Connect the Xbox One controller, Playstation 4 or any Bluetooth compatible to our Android phone.
My first test was more than satisfactory, the occasional delay if it is true that I have seen, but generally the experience is excellent. I want to think that it would be better if we used controls made for them instead of the Xbox controller.

Don't be afraid to ask for access, I was given it in about 24 hours. Or yes, you will have more chances to be accepted if you are already an Insider. Remember that you are accessing the service in tests and that it may bring failure, Microsoft recommends that you use a 5G connection (in Spain which is not currently possible) or that your router is at least 5.0 Ghz.
