While the first Cyberpunk 2077 updates only had many bug fixes and improvements that stabilized the playable and graphical game, the 1.5 of late 2021 gave us a kind of new game with all the new things it included and some new content, like 5 new apartments to turn your house into. Well, we may have had to wait almost another year for that, but this 1.6 update also has some new and tasty new content.
In yesterday’s stream the new Night City Wire, not only was the new (and final) expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 announced, but also almost 45 minutes of new content corresponding to the 1.6 update, including the taken from Xbox Series S, which now has 60fps performance mode and new outfits related to Edge Runners. But this is only the beginning. Here are all the most important changes:
- New content added:
- Wardrobe (transmog system): allows you to change your appearance without losing the stats of the equipment you already wear.
- New Abilities
- Cement trap (MERC)
- Desperate Measures (Rogue)
- Dirty Hangover (Research and Recovery)
- 6 new firearms and 5 new melee weapons
- System added cross-platform progress
- Secret content on the occasion of the Edgerunners to discover
- Arcade game (described below)
- Photos of our cat in Photo mode
- A massive amount of fixes for gameplay, quests, and perks. Good read them here detail.
- New performance mode for Xbox Series S: dynamic 900p and 60fps.
- Fixed input lag issue when selecting modes with Ray Tracing on next-gen consoles
- Added REDmod modding tools. Only for PC.
A mini-game from The Witcher 3 included in Cyberpunk 2077
Apart from these improvements, perhaps the most curious thing is that finally one of the many arcade machines that appear in the game and were not functional, now many will have an entertaining game in which we drive Roach, Geralt of Rivia’s horse in The Witcher 3. The so-called Sardinilla plays in a fuller-than-expected 2D side-scrolling platformer. Do not miss the video below where you can see a minute with the gameplay of this one.
